It is as if a lot of "programmers" do not know that browsers, at the moment, runs only JavaScript (and web assembly).

"C++, Swift, PHP, Racket, and Matlab." Are absolutely out of context here... or almost out of context if you consider web assembly.

If we are speaking only about JS server side, the most popular names I hear around are Go and Rust... but Matlab made me laugh! :)

Finally, given the fact TypeScript was mentioned, we could point out that Deno (https://deno.land/) integrates TypeScript "as a first class language"
