This is about a senior workers, not just developers!

We all have a tendency to think that we do well and that we could do better if only the (add a subject here) allow us to work better... but the others...

I think it is about comfort zone and locus of control. Being able to enlarge our comfort zone, and actively listen to others feedback is a great improvement in our (working) life.
